Dr Samata Sharma is an Associate Professor at NBMS with over 8 years of experience in Ophthalmology. She specializes in cataract, strabismus, and oculoplastic surgeries. Dr. Sharma earned her MD in Ophthalmology from the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology in Kathmandu, Nepal. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at the same institution and further specialized in Oculoplastics, Orbital, and Lacrimal Surgery at Aichi Medical University in Japan.

With an impressive surgical record, Dr. Sharma has performed over 25,000 Small Incision Cataract Surgeries (SICS) and more than 15,000 Phacoemulsification surgeries. She is also an expert in pediatric low vision and visual rehabilitation, committed to providing comprehensive care tailored to her patients' needs.
