Dr Ben Limbu started his ophthalmology career after passing out medicine in the year 2002 from Katmendu medical college
He Joined as medical officer in Tilaganage Eye Institute in the year 2003 to 2006
Did his ophthalmology residency from 2006 to 2009 at Hetauda community Eye hospital , Nepal Perceived his fellowship in oculoplasty orbit and Aesthetics in year 2009 to 2011 from university of Utah, Utah Moran eye institute And at Moorefields Eye hospital london
Qualifications
After completing an MBBS in 2002 from Katmendu Medical college,Nepal. He joined as medical officer in Tilganga Eye Institute in 2002 to 2006.
He passed his MD in ophthalmology in 2009, from Hetaunda Community Eye hospital , Nepal
Did his fellowship oculoplasty , orbit and Aesthetic from Moron Eye institute university of Utah,Utah and ata Moorefields Eye hospital, London
Experience
He has been serving in the field of ophthalmology for over 17plus years and has performed over 50,000 eye operations.
He has also authored ophthalmology Being a passionate educator, he has given a number of presentations in ocular care for the medical community, in addition to popular TV, radio, and on-stage programmes for the mass audience. He has conducted many eye camps and eye education programmes.
He was former ophthalmologist, medical officer, cataract consultant, oculoplasty consultant Tilganga Eye institute from 2003 to 2021
Started his own private hospital chains of Global Eye Hospital at old Baneswor, katmendu in year 2015

He has been serving in the field of ophthalmology since he completed his MBBS and has performed more than 60000 eye surgeries of various kind in rural and urban part of Nepal. He served as hospital chief during 2010-2011 at Hetauda Community Eye Hospital.
He has presented more than 100 scientific presentations in global ophthalmology arena and national eye conferences.
Being a passionate educator, he has trained more than 40 eye specialists for Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive surgery from Nepal and abroad. He also has trained many MD Ophthalmology from Nepal and Abroad. He has published 2 medical books and published more than 40 scientific researches as leading researcher.
He has volunteered as a trainer and lead eye surgeon in many eye camps in Nepal and abroad(Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Ethiopia and Sierra Leone)
He has presented more than 100 scientific presentations in global ophthalmology arena and national eye conferences.

He is past chief editor for iPlastics (APSOPRS), Past General secretary and President(2020-2022) for Nepalese Society for Oculoplastic Surgeons and is current Scientific Secretary for Oculoplastic Society of South Asia.
He is the leading eye specialist to initiate Community Children Eye Program(Integration of eye screening for children below 5 years of age during immunization)
